People are, quite probably, the most universal subject of photographic images. These images may be just simple snapshots of family and friends, but by using effective techniques and an engaged approach, you can make more interesting and revealing pictures of people.

In this workshop will learn about how to interact with your subject to create interesting portraits. You will learn about appropriate equipment, essential techniques and aesthetic aspects in making available light portraits. The use supplementary flash lighting will also be discussed.

This workshop will also present and discuss aesthetic and stylistic aspects of historic and contemporary portrait photography.
