This digital photography workshop experience is presented in the magnificent maritime environment where the Saguenay River meets the St. Lawrence. The deep cold waters of the Saguenay River flow from the north into the St. Lawrence River and create a unique environment for marine life. The great rorqual whales and the white beluga whales come in significant numbers to feed on the krill that thrive here and numerous species of birds come to nest. The area around the confluence of the two rivers is so special that it is actually protected as a Marine Park! Environment: Maritime LandscapeThis five day workshop will give you a unique opportunity to intimately explore and photograph the flora, fauna and landscapes of this extraordinary maritime environment. The workshop includes a two day expedition by sea kayak to explore the marine landscape between Tadoussac and Bergeronnes, Quebec where the base camp is situated. Previous experience in kayaking is not required as expert instructor/guides of Mer et Monde Ecotours will assist and accompany you. Aesthetic and technical aspects will be discussed in an evening session prior to the on site experience. During the workshop, your will receive coaching and appreciation of your work and learn through group presentation and discussion of your images. In a post workshop evening session, you will be able to present your selected and edited photos for appreciation.
